Rob Coleman's journey from his early years in South Korea to his current role as a dedicated public servant and community leader in Newport News is truly remarkable. Upon relocating to Newport News during his childhood, Rob flourished within the local school system and actively participated in youth sports alongside his three brothers. His devotion to his community persisted beyond high school, leading him to pursue higher education at Thomas Nelson Community College before launching his career with the Newport News Sheriff’s Office.
Newport News Public Schools greatly contributed to who I am today. Our school system is responsible for providing the education for most of our children in the Central District and throughout the city.
